We stopped in Sidney on our way to Oshkosh and had such a great experience, we stopped there on our way home, too! They had a great price and an Oshkosh discount, but more importantly, they were helpful, professional and courteous. They loaned us a clean, comfortable minivan for our overnight. Their facilities are top notch, clean, comfortable and well kept. Sidney is a great stop and Richland is a great FBO.

Regardless of the time of day or night, or whether it’s a holiday we maintain a staffing schedule that will ensure our availability. If you know when you will be arriving, we always appreciate advance notice, but if you aren’t able that is OK too.
Free wireless, broadband internet
We know that as you’re traveling it is always helpful to stay connected, especially in rural areas like Sidney, Montana. Broadband internet connections are available, via Wi-Fi, for your smartphone, tablet or laptop so that you can perform flight planning, check e-mail or do business.
We also have 2 computers with internet access that are available in our lobby.
Comfortable pilot’s lounge
Our pilot’s lounge allows for quiet relaxation and offers cable television, an X-Box gaming system, comfortable couches and seating as well as flight planning computers.
Very impressed with the new remodel. It had been some time since we have been to Richland and we were used to the old facility. The new updates make the facility very welcoming and a great stop. Great job on the remodel.
Courtesy car available on-site
Our staff is ready with a complimentary courtesy car for brief, in-town use. Please refer to our courtesy car agreement for full details, but generally:
- Our courtesy car is available free of charge for up to 4 hours.
- The vehicle is only available to be used within a 50 mile radius.
- Fuel and other incidental charges are your responsibility.
Convenient Airport Access
The Richland Aviation facility is located just east of the airline terminal at the Sidney-Richland Regional Airport. There is a large, concrete parking ramp just steps away from our guest lobby and front desk. We also have a large gate providing easy vehicle access to and from the airfield.
- For pilots looking to get in and out quickly, our mobile refueling trucks will conveniently come to you.
- Our front desk staff is happy to assist you with obtaining ground transportation or booking hotel accommodations.

Flight Planning Resources
We will do everything we can to provide you with the tools you need to perform your flight planning. Accurate weather forecasts and other resources are available through our free wireless internet access. Flight planning computers with broadband internet access are also available.
If you have questions about other regional air fields, suggested FBO’s or anything else our staff and pilots are happy to assist.

My wife, daughter and I recently landed at SDY on the second fuel stop of a long flight back east from the west coast. Because of bad weather east of us we decided to spend the night in town. We notified the FBO of our plans in the air and ten minutes later when we landed they had already retained a room for us at a local hotel at a discounted rate. This was a difficult task because everyone was in town for the county fair. They also allowed us to use a car overnight. They went above and beyond to help us out. When we returned to SDY early the next day the plane was properly fueled and ready to go. Richland Aviation is what every FBO should be.

Please note: There may be limited availability for lodging in Sidney, MT during peak seasons. Most often this can be expected in conjunction with the Richland County Fair & Rodeo held the first week of August each year. If you plan to travel in our neck of the woods during that time it’s advisable to make your reservations with as much advance notice as possible.
